Please click here for an Intro to Week Two Activities.
For this week (Teacher Knowledge), you can choose to complete only ONE of the following activities, but please feel free to browse the other two:
Option # 1 (Content Knowledge & Grammar Terminology): review your understanding of grammar content knowledge with some help from Quizlet and collaborate with other session participants as you share your responses to a reading on grammatical terminology. You can make annotations as you read by clicking on [open in Amanote] here. Please edit this Google Doc to sign up for a group.
Option# 2 (Pedagogical Content Knowledge): create a presentation to show your understanding of the difference between the content knowledge and the pedagogical content knowledge of a verb tense (e.g. the present perfect tense) or any grammar point of interest to you. You can use prezi, slideshare, emaze, or visme for a visually appealing presentation. Please share a link to your online presentation here. [Here are some helpful videos that you may want to watch before you plan for your presentation]
Option # 3 (Knowledge of our Learners): read and record your response (using Vocaroo) to a TESL Ontario blog entry on how the knowledge of learners may influence instructional decision-making. You can respond to its arguments and/or some of the suggestions and responses in the comments section of the blog; it would be helpful to relate your response to grammar instruction decisions that you make in your own context. Please view how to use Vocaroo and copy and paste the link to your recordings here. You may want to review one format of SILL (Strategy Inventory for Language Learning]
Towards the end of Week 2, please provide Mid-Session Feedback
